The Lord is so good to use anything He can to get us to understand his love for us and how his laws of faith work. This is a true experience and I would like to share it with you. I hope it blesses you.The Menu
My husband and I went to a restaurant. We sat down and waited for the waitress and when she came I read her nametag. I’m telling the truth, her name was Faith and she said to me “May I serve you?”
My husband ordered an appetizer and an entrée and I ordered an entrée. The she left. So we are at our table talking, enjoying our evening and then our drinks and appetizers were brought out to our table. We look at how good it looks, we pray and thank God for it and then we dig in.
Next to us was a couple and the waitress brought their food. We looked at their food and said, “Oooh, that’s pretty.” and “That looks so good.” and we all smiled. Some minutes after that, our food came to our table. She said, “Cheeseburger with fries?” I answered, “Me.” “Fish and potatoes?” she said. My husband answered, “Me.” Now, as our food was coming to us, I saw others look at it and smile. Then I thought; this is how God works.
We have a menu – our Bible. We read it and find all that it offers and we choose what we are going to send our “FAITH” to go and get. Others around us do the same and when they get theirs, we are not jealous, we are happy and we rejoice with them while we wait for ours. We wait a while and before we get impatient here are our appetizers, and then the meal. When our order is ready “FAITH” brings it in.
There was one big difference that God showed me. I had to pay for the food, but for the orders from my Bible – THE PRICE WAS ALREADY PAID!
Isn’t Father God good?!!
