"God having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities". (Acts 3:26) Do you hunger and thirst for the Truth? Are you longing for true peace, joy and contentment? If you answered yes to either of these questions, there is a perfect remedy for your longing. What's the remedy?
Jesus!!! Jesus is the answer to every life problem and situation. He graciously gave His life for you. He needed to do this because all people are born into sin. Sin is defined as being disobedient to God's law. We know what sin is because God shows us through His word, the Bible, what right from wrong is. The Bible says in Romans 5:12 and 16 that sin began through Adams transgression. Therefore, we all are born into sin.The good news is that we no longer need to stay in our sinful condition. And get this, no sin is too big for God to handle through the blood that Jesus shed for you. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. (John 3:16)
The plan of salvation is simple.
- We were born into Sin.
- Jesus paid the debt for our sins on the cross at Calvary nearly 2000 years ago.
- Jesus was raised from the dead overcoming sin, death and the world.
- You must accept Jesus into your heart by faith, believing that this is true.
- You will receive forgiveness of all of your sins and inherit eternal life.
The Bible tells us to confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that Jesus was raised from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9) To receive Jesus and the salvation that He brings, pray this prayer aloud.
"Dear Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I know that I cannot have my sin forgiven in any other way but by You and Your shed blood for me. I am ready for a change in my life and only you can help me change. Therefore, I renounce my current way of living and thinking. I allow you to take over my body, my mind and my spirit. Come into my heart and make me new. Forgive me of my sin and help me to live for you. I receive you Holy Spirit, to lead me and guide me into all truth. Thank you Jesus for loving me so much that You would give Your life for me. Help me to give myself back to You and live wholly for You. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen".
